Our eating disorder unit 'Sage' provides personalised treatment plans, because we understand that recovery is unique for everyone.

Working together to care for you
At Wren, we refer to our eating disorder unit as 'Sage'. Here, we provide a supportive environment so you can build the changes necessary for your recovery journey.
We choose positivity and empowerment to underpin your care. Contact our friendly staff for more information.

Flexible care
In-hospital and in-home options are available, or a combination of both. Admissions are often only a few weeks with on-going treatment and support at home.
For information on referrals, speak to your GP or mental health clinician.
What to expect from us
Continuous support
We are here to support and monitor you throughout your recovery journey, helping to ease any anxieties and ensuring you stay on track with your nutritional plan and other treatments.
Interconnected treatment plans
We embrace holistic wellness, which means encompassing your whole life. We emphasize food as medicine and fostering social connections. Your nutrition plan is specifically developed by our dietitians and reflect our 'food as medicine' approach.
Gentle redirection
We believe in gently addressing disordered behaviours. Some actions are discouraged and we’ll gently remind you to refocus.
Groups, networks and lived experience
We aim to foster social connections and encourage you to embrace the social aspects of recovery. Our unique peer support programs offer assistance and connection from those with lived experience of an eating disorder, so you'll always feel heard and understood.
What we would like from you
Group participation
Joining group activities is highly recommended. The aim of groups is to meet you where you are at. Plus, it's a great way to gain social support, build skills, and reinforce therapeutic goals. Groups are based on the idea that recovery is holistic, encompassing your whole life.
Social support
We aim to foster social connections and embrace the social aspects of mealtime. We will encourage conversations that highlight your identity beyond the eating disorders and discourage topics around weight, calories and movement.
Focus and attention
We encourage disconnecting from technology and ask that phones are not used during meals. We offer music and conversation cards to support a therapeutic environment.
*We use the terms ‘women’ and ‘woman’ inclusively to refer anyone who self-identifies as a woman, regardless of sex assigned at birth or gender expression. We support gender diversity and respect individual language preferences.
